Venture into the cool mountain rainforests of Eungella National Park to see the elusive wild platypus and greet the next day’s sunrise with kangaroos and wallabies on the beach at Cape Hillsborough. Enjoy relaxed small-group touring, local guiding, and an overnight stay in nature-surrounded cabins.

Day One – Eungella National Park & “Land of the Clouds”

Journey inland through the Pioneer Valley as cane fields give way to lush rainforest slopes. At Eungella National Park — one of Australia’s best wild platypus viewing locations — we take our time observing these shy, fascinating animals in their natural creek habitat. Your guide shares stories about the rainforest, wildlife behaviour, and conservation efforts as you soak up the peace and highland atmosphere.

Evening – Cape Hillsborough Nature Retreat (Overnight Stay)

Travel back toward the coast and settle into your peaceful cabin accommodation at Cape Hillsborough, surrounded by forest, ocean breezes, and native wildlife. Unwind and enjoy the sounds of nature as the stars emerge above the treetops.

Day Two – Kangaroos at Sunrise

Rise early to witness kangaroos and wallabies feeding naturally along the beach at sunrise — one of Queensland’s most iconic wildlife experiences. Watch the colours of dawn unfold over the Coral Sea as your guide offers insights into the wildlife and this unique coastal ecosystem.
